ROBERT ARBUTHNOT. Born Co Antrim, Ireland 1779 (1778 per Willis Cemetery record). Died North Lunenburg 15 September 1863. Buried Willis Cemetery, North Lunenburg, Osnabruck twp, Stormont Co., Ontario. He had a licence for back-peddling on the Isle of Man and apparently passed back and forth between the island, Ireland and Scotland. He and his wife and two children emigrated to Russell, Ontario from Antrim, Ireland in 1834. He is known to have gone through the area of Ontario where he first lived in Canada (this is assumed to be around the town of Morewood) as a back-peddlar or itinerant merchant. Married in Co. Antrim ELIZABETH NEVIN (born Portglenone, Ireland 1772; died North Lunenburg 1837; buried Willis Cemetery, North Lunenburg).

(ESTHER) ANN ARBUTHNOT. Born Portglenone, County Antrim, Ireland February 1801. Died Morewood 16 September 1868. Buried on the front corner lot of their farm and later reburied in the Stone Church (see below). Married as his first wife in Portglenone JAMES KYLE (born in Portglenone, Co Antrim 1799; died Morewood, North Winchester 18 April 1885; buried beside his wife). They left Portglenone, Co Antrim for Morewood, Russell, Ontario in 1834, where there is a memorial tablet to her and her brother in Morewood Presbyterian Church. James and Ann were very devout, holding church services in their barn (known as "the Ark"). He later established the Presbyterian congregation and donated the property (a small stone building known as "the Stone Church" which was built in 1870 and is still in use) for the Morewood Presbyterian Church of Canada. He married second Mrs ARCHIBALD GRAHAM, née JANE FAULKNER, mother of his daughter-in-law.

Married in Morewood, 20 February 1845, MARGARET JANE GRAHAM (born Bainbridge, Co Antrim 10 November 1829; died Wilber 1 June 1909), daughter of Archibald Graham of Oxford Mills, Ontario and Jane, née Faulkner.

Postmaster in North Winchester; also conducted a store, blacksmith shop, tailor's shop, shoe shop, carriage shop and sawmill. Married at Oxford, Ontario, 6 January 1846, Rosanna ("Rose") Law (born Lisrodden, Co Antrim 1 April 1822; emigrated 1829; died Winchester, Dundas Co., Ontario 8 June 1914;  buried Morewood Cemetery, Morewood, Ontario), daughter of Samuel Law and Margaret, née Magee.

Dorothy Elizabeth Empey. Born Winchester Township, Ontario 5 June 1858. Died Mott, Hettinger Co., North Dakota 30 March 1939. Immigrated to USA aged 5, with her parents, settling near Peshtigo, WI. Married in Peshtigo, Wisconsin, 19 March 1878, David Franklin Utter, Sr (born Warwick Twnshp, Ontario 17 April 1848 died Mott, Hettinger Co., North Dakota 29 May 1943).After their marriage they moved to a farm near Peshtigo, WI where they lived for several years. They were among the dozen or so persons who were survivors of the Peshtigo Fire, October 8, 1871. Mr. and Mrs. Utter had vivid pictures in their minds of the horror and ghastliness of this fire which took approximately 1700 lives. On 17 March 1905, they arrived in North Dakota and settled on a homestead of 400 acres, nine miles northeast of Mott, living in the vicinity from that time. Mr. and Mrs. George and Flora Roecker, son-in-law and daughter, now own their early day farm homestead.

They and their children settled in Morewood, Russell, Ontario where there is a memorial tablet in Morewood Presbyterian Church.
