For her ancestry and relations, see Table 3.  Married in Clinton, Louisiana, 2 June 1851, WILLIS ROWLEY (born 1822), son of JOHN ROWLEY (emigrated to USA 1803) and ESTHER, née TYMES. He came to Louisiana from South Carolina. They lived at Clinton, Louisiana.

Married, 8 January 1902, (WILLIAM) FRANKLIN ("LYNN") LIPSCOMB (born Norwood 14 January 1876; died Norwood 21 September 1954), son of SAMUEL WESLEY WINANS LIPSCOMB and CLAYORA CLARE, née COLLINS. They had issue.

HETTIE E. ROWLEY.  Born 11 June 1864. [According to page 166, "Abstracts of East Feliciana Parish Original Conveyances, January 1823 - January 1900", by Mary Ann Sagely Garner of Clinton, published 1997, Hettie was daughter of Richard Rowley and (Sarah) Lavilla Nettles] Dvu East Feliciana Parish 16 July 1898. She was buried on the Beechgrove Plantation north of Clinton, Louisiana July 1898. Married AUGUST RIST (born East Feliciana Parish 7 December 1865; died East Feliciana Parish 3 June 1943). After Hettie died August Rist married as his second wife Mary Gamble the daughter of James Gamble of Pike and Jefferson County Ms.  James Gamble (born Ireland 1835) was son of Thomas Gamble (born Scotland or Ireland, died of yellow fever Orleans, La., c.1853; married Roseanne Crawford of Scotland or Ireland.) and the brother of Mary Gamble (born Ireland 1826; married Jacob B Davis) and the brother of (Rosa) Elizabeth Gamble Warner (born Belfast 1822), gggrandmother of Grace Warner Moss who would appreciate learning more about this Gamble family. Kaye Rist Lavin is keen to learn more about the Rists.
